HAMAS: israeli arrests will not impede Palestinian elections

HAMAS Movement condemned the arrests campaign launched by the zionist occupation forces (ZOF) on Tuesday night of several ex-prisoners, including the two leaders of the Movement, Jamal al-Tawil and Bajis Nakhla.

HAMAS said in a statement on Wednesday that these arrests launched by the ZOF against the Movement’s members will not succeed in obstructing the Palestinian elections.

“This will increase our determination to continue the path towards unifying the Palestinians on democratic foundations”, it underlined.

The Movement called on all friendly countries and peoples to stand against Israel that prevents the Palestinians from practicing their political life, a right, which, Hamas said, is guaranteed by all international and humanitarian laws.

Hamas also called for punishing the zionist regime and expelling it from all international forums and institutions. “It tries to impose its control on the will of other people through the force of arms”, the Movement added.
