In press remarks on the 45th anniversary of the Palestine Land Day, Murra recalled the protests that took place on March 30, 1976, in the Arab areas of the 1948 occupied lands against the zionist government’s decision to seize vast tracts of Palestinian land as part of its openly declared policy to Judaize the Arab areas.
He described the Palestinian people’s 1976 uprising against the zionist regime’s displacement and expulsion practices as “an important shift in the history of their struggle against the occupation and in the development of their national cause.”
“The martyrs, the wounded and the detainees that were offered up by our people during that uprising established a Palestinian national stage that contributed, along with other stages, to consolidating the Palestinian presence, protecting the identity, defending the land, and resisting the occupation’s policies,” the Hamas official underscored.
“We reject the occupation’s discriminatory and racist policies and reaffirm our people’s right to struggle against and resist the Zionist terrorism with all means,” he said.
