Haniyeh: Jerusalemites determined to defend Jerusalem at any price

The head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh said on Sunday that Jerusalemites are defending Jerusalem at any price, stressing that the holy city will never be left alone facing the zionist regime’s violations.

The ongoing Palestinian response to the zionist regime’s violations in Jerusalem come ‘in the context of the battle over the identity of the holy city,’ Hamas chief said.

The Hamas chief confirmed that the Palestinian people will go ahead with this uprising if the zionist occupation continues its aggressive policies in the holy city.

The zionist regime’s violence at the holy city is also part and parcel of the deal of the century, stressed Haniyeh.

The Hamas chief reiterated that the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank should stand steadfast in the face of the zionist occupation forces.

The current situation in Jerusalem proved that security coordination and the security grip over the historically Palestinian city have failed to achieve any of israeli plans, Haniyeh stressed.

Regarding the Palestinian elections, Haniyeh reiterated that his movement will never pass on this opportunity to restructure the national Palestinian home, stressing the necessity to hold the elections in Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, and the West Bank.

“The Palestinian election in Jerusalem has started very early, as hundreds took to the street to defend Jerusalem against the Israeli attacks and violations,” concluded Haniyeh.
