Heavy weapons pullout from Idlib

The anti-Syrian regime's armed groups have withdrawn heavy weapons from the buffer zone in Idlib.

Within the framework agreement reached between Turkiye and Russia to prevent the Syrian regime attacks on Idlib, the anti-regime elements reportedly pullout heavy weapons from the buffer zone in Idlib.

According to the Idlib agreement reached between Russia and Turkiye, the process of withdrawal of heavy weapons was completed. The anti-Syrian armed groups withdrew the mortar, cannon, tank, and missile ramps from the buffer zone.

The London-based Syrian Human Rights Observatory, which announced the withdrawal three days ago, announced that heavy weapons were withdrawn from the east of Idlib, and northern Hama.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed on the establishment of a weapons-free zone in Idlib province of Syria during a meeting on 17 September in Sochi.
