TURKSTAT announced inflation figures for November. Accordingly, consumer price index (CPI) fell by 1.44 percent month on month and domestic producer price index (D-PPI) fell by 2.53 percent.
Domestic producer price index (D-PPI) decreased by 2.53% on monthly basis, increased by 36.68% on December of the previous year basis, by 38.54% on the same month of the previous year basis and by 25.52% on the twelve months moving averages basis in November 2018.
D-PPI decreased by 1.80% for mining and stone quarrying, by 3.09% for manufacturing, increased by 2.35% for electricity and gas and by 1.25% for water supply compared with the previous month.
The highest monthly decrease was in coke and refined petroleum productsThe highest rates of monthly decrease in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the index for coke and refined petroleum products by 15.49%, for basic metals by 8.11%, for metal ores by 6.32%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of the industry was tobacco products by 4.14%, for electricity, gas by 2.35%, for beverages by 1.78%. The highest monthly decrease in main industrial groupings was in intermediate goodsAccording to the main industrial groupings classification, the highest rate of monthly decrease was in intermediate goods by 3.56% in November 2018.
