Stating that the US government's policy against Iran cannot be effective, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said: "The US administration will regret these ridiculous steps."
The Iranian minister also pointed to the US government’s isolation in the international community and its anger at the world consensus against its unilateral policies, saying only the Zionist regime of Israel and a few small countries are abiding by Washington’s policies
"I am confident that bad days are awaiting the US government," Zarif underlined, saying Washington’s policies have been in favor of a small group of its supporters rather than its own people.
"The US government is rather trying to cover up the Saudi regime and the Israeli regime’s crimes instead of pursuing a policy in favor of its national interests," he added.
