Italy’s death toll from coronavirus rises to 22,745

The death toll is rising in Italy, which has the highest number deaths due to coronavirus in Europe, while the country is struggling to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

In Italy, 575 people who tested positive for coronavirus have lost their lives in the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 22.745.

According to the Health Ministry, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases have been 172.434 in the country.

On 19 March, Italy became the country with the highest number of confirmed coronavirus deaths in the world, but on 11 April it was overtaken by the United States.
