Jordan condemns zionist regime’s violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque

Jordan condemned on Wednesday the continued the zionist regime’s violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The latest of which were sabotaging the locks of Al-Silsila Gate, one of Al-Aqsa’s Gates, cutting off wires of loudspeakers at the western area and abusing the employees of the Jordanian Islamic Endowments Department.

Dhaifallah Al-Fayez, the spokesman of the Jordanian Foreign Ministry, said: “The actions of the Israeli police are unacceptable, condemned, reprehensible and constitute a flagrant provocation of the Muslims’ feelings.”

Fayez stressed that the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque with its entire area of 144 dunums is a place of worship solely for Muslims and its affairs are exclusively supervised by the authority of the Jordanian Endowments and Al-Aqsa Affairs Administration in Jerusalem in accordance with international law and the existing legal and historical situation.

He called on the zionist authorities to abide by their obligations as the occupying power in Occupied East Jerusalem in accordance with international law.

Fayez called on the zionist regime to respect the sanctity of the Aqsa Mosque and the authority of the Jordanian Endowments and Al-Aqsa Affairs Administration in Jerusalem.
