The physically disabled Fatma Dilak, who resides in Hilvan, posted an emotional letter to her teacher as a "Teacher's Day" gift.
Gülşah Bayık, one of the primary school teachers in Hilvan, evaluated the emotional letter posted by her student, to ILKHA's correspondent.

Stating that she was appointed as a teacher to Fatma Dilak in the scope of "home education" as a result of the assignment of national education, Gülşah Bayık said: "We determined and started our process on which subjects Fatma will receive training. Fatma is 10 years old and has not attended school because of her physical disability. She didn’t know anything about reading and writing before."
"We started the difficult process with Fatma and went on a marathon and learned how to read and write in early March," said Bayık and added that Fatma learned a lot in a short time while compared to someone who had never attended to school. "Fatma was very determined."
"Primary school learning process will continue for 4 years," she added.
Talking about the letter of emotion posted by her disabled student, teacher Gülşah Bayık expressed it as the best gift that a teacher gets.
"Fatma is a very emotional and intelligent child, but I didn't think she'd write me a letter like that. The day after 'Teachers' Day' the postman knocked on my door, normally I was not expecting any cargo or letter."
Talking about the moment when she received the letter, Bayık stressed her feelings as cannot be described in words, "I was surprised and had a lot of emotions together."
"I was very impressed with the words of the letter," said Bayık and expressed her thought, as it is the greatest request of a teacher. "That is very happy. I am glad I loved education at home and also happy it was me chosen to teach and there's nothing more pleasant than meeting Fatma."
Saying that the state sends instructors to students with disabilities to be educated at home, Bayık continued: "The state sends teachers to students who cannot come to school due to both physical and other deficiencies. Students who are in a condition of not able to come to school are required to apply for National Education Office and then the office send a teacher, this is how I was appointed based on voluntarily."
The teacher Gülşah Bayık underlined that people need to see that children with disabilities can accomplish something if they are given opportunities. "I can tell those who are going to watch this news; if we can change our perspective, we will see what window we look at from."
"Let's consider about it, let's give people with disabilities a chance, and push them from consumerism to manufacturing. Let's give them an opportunity in every aspect of life."
Fatma Dilak, the disabled student, said she is pleased with the education she receives from her teacher and that she benefited from this training: "I'm 10 years old and I'm getting a good education. I took math, Turkish [language], social studies courses. I wrote the letter willingly."
