Magnitude-5.2 earthquake strikes Japan

The epicenter of the earthquake was about 31 km (19 miles) east-southeast of Chitose at a depth of 123 km (76 miles).

There have been no initial reports of damage or casualties.

The earthquake poses no tsunami risk, according to the agency.
