Magnitude 5.7 quake strikes Iran's Fars province

A magnitude 5.7 earthquake hit Iran’s southeastern Fars province on Sunday, Iranian state TV announced.

The quake struck at a depth of 11 km (6.6 miles) at 07:00 p.m. local time (1430 GMT), according to the Iranian Seismological Centre.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damages in the area of the quake.
