“Congratulations Keluarga Malaysia! We have successfully achieved our target of vaccinating 90% of the adult population. Starting 11 October 2021, Interstate travel will be allowed for fully-vaccinated individuals,” Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said in a statement on his Twitter account.
On Saturday, Director-General of Health Noor Hisham Abdullah confirmed that the Pfizer–BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine had been approved for the country's booster shot programme. That same day, Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob confirmed that interstate travel will be allowed to resumed within the next few days once 90% of the adult population has been fully vaccinated.
