The youngest age group with the lowest age difference was Zonguldak, Karabük, and Tunceli with 2.4 years of age. Kastamonu followed these figures with the age of 2.5.

Syrian brides took first place among foreign brides

The number of foreign brides was 20,972 in 2017 and constituted 3.7 percent of total brides. When foreign brides were examined according to their nationality, 19.4 percent of Syrian brides took first place. Azerbaijani brides with 13.3 percent and German brides with 12.4 percent were followed by Syrian brides.

In 2017, the number of foreign grooms was 3,782, which constituted 0.7 percent of total grooms. When foreign grooms were examined according to their nationality, German grooms ranked first with 36.5 percent. German grooms were followed by Syrian grooms with 8,5 percent and Austrian grooms with 8 percent.

The rate of crude divorce was highest in 2017, and it was 2.57 in İzmir. This province was followed by Antalya and Muğla with 2.51. The lowest rate of divorce was found in Hakkari with 0.2. This province was followed by Bitlis with 0.21, and Sirnak with 0.22.
