A first will be experienced as a result of the struggle of victim lawyers against the prosecutor's decision not to prosecute the zionist regime.
The parties will present all their theses on 1 May 2019 at 9:30 am in the morning.
Victims from 37 different countries continue to seek justice in all legal circles after the zionist regime's brutal attack on Mavi Marmara and Gaza Freedom Flotilla on 31 May 2010, martyred 10 Muslims, while dozens wounded.
Having a written statement on behalf of Mavi Marmara Law Commission, attorney Gülden Sönmez reminded that an application was made on behalf of the Comoros state, on May 14, 2013, to the ICC, and a process was initiated on behalf of Comoros, Cambodia, and Greece about political and military criminals of the zionist regime.
Sönmez stated that the ICC prosecutor in the decision on 31.05.2010 said that the "israeli soldiers committed war crimes, deliberate killing, deliberate injuring and violation of human dignity on the Mavi Marmara and other ships. israel is in occupying the status in Gaza because it continues its active control over Gaza. All participants in the Gaza Freedom Flotilla were civilians protected under international law and Israeli soldiers carried out the attack, even though they knew that passengers were civilians."
The ICC prosecutor admits that the zionist regime has committed war crimes, but he has decided that he cannot make this trial on the grounds of "gravity" in the same resolution.
Sönmez added that all Mavi Marmara attorneys objected to this decision while the court found the prosecutor's decision as wrong.
