Military helicopter shot down in Hatay: 2 soldiers lost their lives

Two soldeirs lost their lives after a Turkish military helicopter shot down in Turkiye's Hatay. President Erdoğan has announced that a Turkish military helicopter downed in Afrin operation.

It was stated that 2 soldiers lost their lives after a military helicopter downed in Turkiye's Hatay in Kırıkhan district near the Syrian border.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced that a Turkish military helicopter just downed in the scope of operations against Afrin.

Speaking at the Istanbul Provincial Presidency Consultation and Assessment Meeting of the party, President Erdoğan said: "One of our helicopters has just downed. We might lose one helicopter, but they will pay a heavier price."

The downed helicopter was a T129 ATAK helicopter and was shot down in Kırıkhan district of Hatay province, two soldiers lost their lives, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım told reporters.

Turkish Armed Forces also confirmed the incident and the deaths, saying the military helicopter had 'crashed.'
