Military plane crashes into homes in Pakistan: 17 dead

At least 17 people were killed according to initial estimates when a military plane crashed into houses in Pakistan.

Five crew members were killed in the military plane that crashed into residential areas in the country's City of Rawalpindi, while 12 others were civilians.

The cause of the plane's crash is not yet known, while 12 people also injured in the crash.

Some eyewitnesses said the plane was in flames before it crashed, and fire also broke out as a result of the fall, so those in the vicinity were unable to help the victims.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan offered his condolences and wished a quick recovery for the injured, according to a tweet sent by the Pakistani government.
