Adopted by a family resident in the Qum city of Iran, the boy from Halabja, who had been identified by the Iranian side and the child's family as a result of DNA tests, found his family 31 years later.
The young man from Halabja, whose name was known to be Mohammad Emin, but who was known to be Khalil Salih Muhammad before his disappearance, met his family in Tehran with the participation of Representatives of Iran and Iraq Foreign Affairs and a representative of Iraqi Kurdistan.
The mother, who has lived the joy and happiness of having her son back, said she had been waiting for her son to return for 31 years and went to Tehran twice to find his son, but she couldn't get a result.
The mother also thanked the Iranian family for they adopted and looked after her son for so many years.
It was learned that Muhammad Emin would return to Halabja with his family in a few days.
