Morales resigns after protests

Bolivian President Evo Morales said that he was resigning to ease violence that has afflicted Bolivia since a disputed election.

Morales said he was resigning for the good of the country, which has suffered from protests since he was declared the winner of the October 20 election.

Since then, three people have been killed in the protests and hundreds have been injured.
