More than 200 people injured when passenger trains collide in Malaysia

At least 200 people have been injured after two passenger trains collided in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.

The accident took place around 8.30 pm local time when a packed train collided with another vacant train on a test run, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong said in a press conference.

“Forty-seven people sustained serious injuries and another 166 suffered minor injuries. Those who were seriously wounded have been sent to the hospital,” he added.
