Mutual ambassadors appointed with the Netherlands

Turkiye and Netherlands’ respective Ambassadors were appointed on Friday in line with the agreement to normalize relations.

In this framework, Şaban Dişli has been appointed as Turkiye’s Ambassador to the Hague, with the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The planned visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands to Turkiye in the first week of October will constitute the next step in the normalization of affairs.

"We welcome these developments and hope to see their positive effects on our relations with the Netherlands with whom we enjoy long-standing relations for over 400 years as well as on our EU membership process," said Turkish Foreign Affairs related to the appointment of the ambassadors.
