The Nimrud Crater Lake, located within the Tatvan and Ahlat district borders of Bitlis and at an altitude of approximately 2,900 meters, welcomes local and foreign climbers and photo lovers.
Domestic and foreign tourists, who have recently turned the peaceful environment into an opportunity as terrorist incidents in the region have dwindled, flock to Bitlis, an eastern province in Turkey, which grabs attention for its nature and history.
Photo-lovers and climbers who want to photograph the enormous landscape of Crater Lake are camping out around the Crater Lake.
Climbers and photo-lovers who spend the night around Crater Lake, begin climbing with the first lights of the morning, which last for hours.
Having breakfast at the top of Nimrud, naturalists wait for the lake to turn blue to take the most beautiful photo. Taken from different angles, the bluish and motley landscape pictures of the lake fascinate those who see it.
Beautiful images of the lake, taken after a long and grueling journey, make climbers forget the fatigue of the whole day.
