One person killed in a flood in Samsun

One person was killed in the flood caused by the downpours in the Salıpazarı, district of Samsun, a central-north province of Turkey.

Ahmet Yıldız, who was caught in the flood caused by heavy rainfall in the Kargıl, a neighborhood in Salıpazarı, went missing.

Flooding caused by the Yesil Creek overflow in Salıpazari due to the downpours, which were effective in the morning hours of Friday.

Ahmet Yıldız, 50, caught in the floodwaters, disappeared. Residents of the neighborhood found Yıldız's lifeless body during their search on the creek bed.

Such health and AFAD teams were referred to the site. Crews took precautions around the overflowing creek, while some shops near the creek bed were also evacuated as a precaution.
