OPCW to send teams to Douma

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons will send a Fact-Finding Mission to the region to investigate the chemical weapons attack on the weekend in Syria.

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons [OPCW] announced that it has tasked the Fact-Finding Mission within the organization to investigate the chemical weapons attack of the Eastern Ghouta region in the Douma province on weekends.

Written statements made by the OPCW stated that they asked Syrian regime to take measures to enable them to carry out their duties and started preparations for the research task.

In the eastern Ghouta, the last point of control of the opponents, some 78 civilian lost their lives by chemical weapons attack carried out on the civilian settlements in the April 7 in Douma province.
