Our presence in Syria will continue: Velayeti

Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior adviser of Ali Khamenei, says Iran and Russia's presence in Syria will continue.

Ali Ekber Velayeti, who came together with Putin in the scope of Moscow contacts and delivered the messages of Ayatullah Khamenei, and President Hasan Ruhani to Russian President Putin, said Russia and Iran will continue their presence in Syria.

Saying that the US and its allies present in Syria with the alleged fight against DAESH is not with the permission of the Syrian government, Velayeti added that they will not leave Syria with the threats of the USA and that they also have no intention of negotiating with the US.

Velayati said Iran and Russia's presence in Syria will continue to protect the country against terrorist groups and America's aggression.

On the other hand, the Iranian media announced that a tripartite meeting on Syria will soon be held in Tehran.

The Iranian media, which did not mention about the date, underlined that Putin and Erdoğan will go to Tehran in the near future.
