Palestine reports 680 new coronavirus cases, 6 deaths in the last 24 hours

Mai Al-Kailah, the Palestinian Minister of Health, announced on Monday that 6 deaths, 680 new cases of coronavirus, and 470 recoveries have been recorded during the past 24 hours.

Kailah stated in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 5 deaths were recorded in the West Bank, a male citizen from Al Samou, a 53 years old female citizen, a man from Ramallah, another man from Al Mazraa Al Qibliya, and a male citizen from Beituniya.

The new infections were distributed according to the following: al-Khalil (82), Nablus (132), Bethlehem (54), Qalqilya (15), Ramallah and Al-Bireh (41), Jenin (36), Jericho and Al-Aghwar (5), Salfit (4), Tulkarem (23), Tubas (6), the Gaza Strip (270), and the suburbs of Jerusalem (12), she said.

The minister said that 260 recovery cases were recorded in the West Bank as follows: al-Khalil 18, Jenin 19, Nablus 133, Tulkarem 28, Salfit 7, Tubas 2, Qalqilya 9, and Ramallah and Al-Bireh 44 in addition to 210 recoveries in Gaza Strip.

She added that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 88.1 percent while the rate of active infections reached 11.1 percent, and the death rate was 0.8% of all infections.

Kailah pointed out that there are 41 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 10 who have been placed on ventilators.
