Peace talks for Yemen begin in Sweden

Peace talks between the conflicting parties in Yemen, which will be mediated by the United Nations, starting in Sweden on Thursday.

Negotiations between the parties to ensure peace in Yemen begin on Thursday in Sweden. During the talks in Stockholm, efforts to end the war in the country will be made under the UN umbrella.

The talks will be the first meeting that to bring parties together after the 106-day negotiations have failed in 2016. Talks are expected to focus on confidence-building efforts.

It is also expected to address issues such as the reopening of the capital Sana'a airport, the end of the blockade in Taiz and the exchange of prisoners.
