Powerful 6.8 magnitude quake strikes Greece

A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck off the Ionian Sea.

The earthquake occurred in the west of Greece on the Ionian Sea at a depth of 10 kilometers, with a magnitude of 6.8.  

Announced by the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), the earthquake of 6.8 occurs at the Ionian Sea between Italy and Greece.

It was stated that there was an aftershock of magnitude 5.6 after an earthquake of 6.8.

The earthquake felt in Athens, Greece, was also influential in Malta and Albania. Damage occurred in some settlements due to the earthquake.
