President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan holds a phone conversation with the US President Donald Trump on Wednesday.
Providing information about the phone conversation of the two leaders, Turkish Presidential Communication Director Fahrettin Altun stated that bilateral and regional issues were discussed.
"Our president reiterated his proposal to establish a Joint Working Group on the S-400 defense system, which is planned to be supplied from the Russian Federation as per the requirement of our national security," Altun said.
Stating that Turkish President has shared the satisfaction of removing the additional tariffs for the steel sector, Altun said both of leaders emphasized that this decision will contribute to the achievement of the bilateral trade target of $ 75 billion.
The two leaders agreed to meet at the G20 summit in Japan.
