The night of al-Qadr will be observed on the night of 31 May, connecting to June 1st. Worshiping in this night, which is better than a thousand months, is equivalent to 80 years of worship.
The Prophet gives the good news that all sins will be forgiven by the observing of the night.
Ahmet Ural, the representative of the Istanbul Sultangazi district of Istanbul, who issued a statement on behalf of the Prophet Lovers Foundation on the night of al-Qadr, a great opportunity for believers, said that there were sacred times as well as sacred places in the sight of Allah, and one of them is the night of al-Qadr.
Ahmet Ural has started his statements with verses from the Holy Qur'an: "Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn." (Al-Qur'an – Al-Qadr 1-5)
"Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind]. On that night is made distinct every precise matter -.[Every] matter [proceeding] from Us. Indeed, We were to send [a messenger]. As mercy from your Lord. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing." (Al-Qur'an – al-Dukhan 3-6)
"The night of al-Qadr, which is said to be better than a thousand months, is the night when the Qur'an was revealed to our Prophet through angel Gabriel," Ural added.
"Any events that will take place until next year are reported to the relevant angels tonight"
Stating that it is Allah, the Lord of the worlds, gives the meaning to this night, honor and power and value, Ural underlined that the Almighty Allah, who has compassion and mercy, has revealed his mercy to the whole world by bringing down His book to the messenger of Allah (PBUH) to the world on this night.
"The worship of this night is more virtuous than the worship of a thousand months without the night of Qadr. Any event that will take place until next year is reported to the relevant angels tonight. On this night, Gabriel and many angels descend on Earth. Tonight there is peace until dawn."
