Protests erupt after gasoline price hike in Iran

Protests broke out in many cities in Iran following the government’s decision to set quotas on gasoline purchases andincrease fuel prices.

Demonstration began in many cities in Iran early Saturday over the government  setting  quotas on gasoline purchases and and increasing prices by 50 percent.

According to local resources, the demonstrations  were severe in Sirjan where the protesters attacked a fuel storage warehouse in the city and tried to set fire to it on Friday night.

Protesters parked their cars on the road in protest of rising gas prices in many cities in Iran.
