Russia recalls Russo-Turkish war in 1877-1878

As tension between Turkey and Russia grows day by day in Syria, Russian Foreign Ministry shared a statement on Twitter, recalling Russo-Turkish war in 1877-1878 took place in Bulgaria.

"The crucial battles of the Russo-Turkish war in 1877-1878 took place in #Bulgaria. Bulgaria declared a national holiday, National Liberation Day, to mark the date of the signing of Treaty of San Stefano, when the country was liberated from the Ottoman Rule," it tweeted.
