Russian soldiers withdraw from Afrin

In Afrin, it was reported that the Russian soldiers began to leave the area and pulled to the south of the city in the Turkiye's possible operation.

The Turkish Army and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) troops are making their final preparations for a possible operation against Afrin, while the artillery shooting carrying out against the PYD/YPG in the region.

While border security measures are being lifted to the highest level, it is reported that Russian troops in the region will be pulled 17 kilometers south of Afrin today at 17.00.

While nearly 170 Russian troops withdraw from the region for the Turkiye's possible operation in the area, it is not known what will be the act of the US elements in Afrin for now.

Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar and MIT Undersecretary Hakan Fidan went to Moscow on Thursday to discuss the latest developments in Syria with Russian Federation Chief of General Staff Gen. Valery Gerasimov.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated during his trip to Russia, Kuwait, and Qatar in last November that Russia made some promises after his trip to the G-20 summit held in Hamburg.
