Saudi Consul-General leaves Turkiye

The consul general of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Uteybi, left Turkiye to his country on Tuesday.

Consul General of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul Muhammed Uteybi reportedly left Turkiye from Ataturk Airport at 17.00 hours in the wake of the search in the Consulate Building by the Turkish and Saudi officials.

Uteybi reportedly headed Riyadh, who has never shown outside of the building after the disappearance of Saudi citizen journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the consulate building since October 2.

After a 10-hour search at the Consulate on Monday, another search was made by the officials in the Consul's residence on Tuesday.

Officials say police found evidence at Saudi Consulate in Istanbul related in killing journalist Jamal Khashoggi, after the search made on Monday.
