Saudi Kingdom: Khashoggi killer suspects will be prosecuted in our country

"Saudi Arabia will prosecute the suspects in the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi," Adel al-Jubeir, Saudi Foreign Minister, said Saturday in response to a call by Turkiye for their extradition.

Sating that his country's law enforcement work with their Turkish counterparts on Khashoggi killing in Turkiye, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia said suspects of Khashoggi killing will be prosecuted in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Adel Al-Jubeir made statements about the murder of the Saudi dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

He said that Saudi law enforcement officials were investigating the incident together with their Turkish counterparts in Turkiye. Stating that the suspects will be prosecuted in Saudi Arabia for the murder of Khashoggi Al-Jubeir said, "This issue has become fairly hysterical. I think people have assigned blame on Saudi Arabia with such certainty before the investigation is complete."

"We have made it very clear that we are going to have a fully transparent investigation, the results of which will be released," he added.

Turkiye asked for the extradition of 18 suspects

The Istanbul Public Prosecutor's Office, which carried out the investigation of Khashoggi murder, had prepared a request for 18 suspects and sent it to the Ministry of Justice. The Ministry of Justice had forwarded the request, including the extradition of 18 suspects, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Minister of Justice Abdülhamid Gül, "Our expectation is the mentioned names to be delivered to the judiciary of Turkiye."
