Schools closed in the 27 provinces of Turkey due to heavy snowfall

Due to heavy snowfall and frigid cold, schools were ordered to close for a day in 27 provinces of Turkey on Thursday.

The officials announced that schools were closed in Adana, Trabzon, Bayburt, Erzincan, Ağrı, Bingöl, Sivas, Adıyaman, Muş, Tunceli, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Malatya, Kilis, Siirt, Rize, Bitlis, Giresun, Kayseri, Adana, Diyarbakır, Ordu, Trabzon and Kırşehir for one day, in Artvin, Bitlis and Van for two days.

At the same time, public sector employees were given a day off due to heavy snowfall and frigid cold in some provinces of Turkey.
