Statements from Prime Minister Yıldırım on the EU

"We haven’t seen a fair approach towards Turkiye in EU summit," Turkiye Prime Minister Yıldırım said regarding the EU summit in Varna.

Speaking at the Grand National Assembly group meeting, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said, "The EU's report is full of serious fractures, incoherence, and wobbling from the very beginning our application. Our full membership process, which started at the same time as Greece, has been broken down and the initial loss of confidence has been experienced."

"The EU did not keep its promise"

"Although we have reduced that refugee transit from 7.000 to 50 and we have fulfilled their commitments, the EU has not kept its word," said Prime Minister Yıldırım. "The 3 + 3 billion euros financial support committed to the Syrians has not progressed as it expected due to many bureaucratic obstacles," he added.
