Suspects of ferry catastrophe caught in Erbil

Suspects that allegedly responsible for the ferry disaster that occurred in Mosul city of Iraq and killed at least 120 people were captured in Erbil, capital of Kurdistan region.

Responsible for the ferry disaster in Mosul, Iraq that took place about two weeks ago, where more than 120 people were killed, were caught in Erbil.

Erbil security forces detained the owner and son of the touristic island in the Tigris River.

"Mosul tourist island owner Ubeyd Ibrahim Ali and his son Aryan Ubeyd Ibrahim were arrested,” said Erbil Public Security Director Tariq Nuri.

After the incident, the owner of the tourist island, who was held responsible for the disaster, had escaped.
