The Syrian state television announced that an agreement had been reached with the PKK/PYD and the Syrian army would enter Afrin by a few hours.
Previously announced that it has reached an agreement with Damascus the PYD/PKK, claimed that Syrian army would enter into Afrin to fight Turkiye in Afrin operation.
It was emphasized that while the defense of the Syrian army to deploy along the borderline, the agreement made with the Damascus administration was completely military and that no political compromise had been reached in the broader sense. In the political and administrative issues in the region, it was stated that negotiations and discussions would be reached at a later stage.
Turkiye launched operations against Afrin on 20 January.
