Teams find lifeless body of another child in Düzce

Rescue teams found the lifeless body of one of the four children lost in the landslide and flooding caused by torrential rainfall, which was effective in Düzce, a north-west province of Turkey.

Search and rescue efforts are underway to find four people, including three children, who are still missing.

226 personnel, 34 vehicles, 16 boats, 8 dogs and 2 helicopters are working day and night to find missing people.

7 people were missing after strong downpours on Wednesday evening, July 17, and Thursday night, July 18, caused flooding and landslides in many spots and caused Melen Creek to be flooded which effected in Cumayeri, Gölyaka and Akçakoca Districts.

Missing Fatma Töngel was found by teams in the streambed between Esmahanim and Uğurlu villages in Akçakoca district on July 19, and body of missing Cengiz Töngel was found in the marshy area near Uğurlu village on Sunday.
