The 2nd Conference of the Parliament Speakers kicks off in Tehran

The "2nd Conference of the Parliament Speakers" kicked off in Tehran, the capital of Iran, with the participation of the parliamentary speakers of 6 countries.

The conference participated by the parliament speakers of Turkiye, Iran, Pakistan, Russia, China, and Afghanistan, as well as with the participation of President of Iran Hassan Rouhani and Speaker of Turkish Parliament Binali Yıldırım, kicked off in Tehran, the capital of Iran.

The second edition of a conference of six regional countries on ways to combat the threat of terrorism began with a keynote speech by Ali Larijani, the Iranian parliament speaker.

It aims to weigh plans to combat terrorism, share the experiences of participants, adopt new and effective regional approaches, promote regional cooperation, and push for the establishment of broad-based and sustainable peace and development.

The first conference was held last year in Pakistan's capital Islamabad with the participation of the same countries.
