The death toll in the 7-magnitude earthquake in Lombok Island east of Indonesia is increasing. National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Spokesperson Sutopo Purwo Nugroho stated the death toll has increased 82, which announced as 39 before.
Nugroho stated that most of the people who died in the earthquake lost their lives by remaining under the wreckage and gave information that more than 100 people were injured. He said that the north of the Lombok Island, the east, and the town of Mataram were affected.
On the other hand, the Indonesian Meteorology, Climate and Geophysical Institute (UNDP) made tsunami warnings following the earthquake in 7 magnitudes in Lombok island.
