Fatalities and the number of cases with coronavirus, which was first identified in Wuhan, China, and spread all over the world, continue to climb in the U.S.
According to Johns Hopkins University, 28,508 new cases were confirmed with coronavirus, bringing the number of cases to 735,287 in the United States.
The country has at least 634,150 active cases. Of those, 7,371 patients are being treated in intense care units.
68,658 people suffering from coronavirus have fully recovered and have been discharged from hospital.
“I think, right now, we are heading at probably around 60,000, maybe 65,000 deaths,” said Friday the U.S President Donald Trump during the White House coronavirus task force news conference.
