"We must tell the life of our prophet to future generations"

Stating that the example of our Prophet Muhammad should be explained very well, especially to young people, Fuat Sesli said: " I congratulate Mawlid of the whole Islamic world and wish it be a means of good. I wish the whole Islamic world to mark the Mawlid in unity. The beauty of our master the prophet is known to everyone. We have to read and understand his life. It is necessary to pass on our Prophet to future generations. He is the best example for us. We need to follow his example and pass it on to future generations. The example we need most now is the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He is an exemplary teacher that the whole Ummah needs very much."

"We must follow the path that our master, the prophet, has shown us."

Indicating that Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) should be taken as an example, Bayram Urlu said: "First of all, I celebrate the arrival of our Prophet in the world. May Allah make us worthy of the legacy left by our Prophet. We need him more today. Muslims need unity. We can't succeed unless We're United. We can't rely on a heretic. Muslim trusts Muslim. Muslim does not wrong Muslim, and therefore we must follow the path that our Prophet has shown us.

"The morality of our Prophet was the Qur'an."

Stressing that the Prophet was sent as a mercy to the worlds and that he was the best example for all mankind, Muhammed Armutçu said: "If we want to be the Prophet's Ummah, we have to believe first and state that There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's messenger. Because the morality of our prophet was the Qur'an. It is very important that we take our Prophet as an example. But unfortunately, we don't take."

"If only we could take Him as an example for ourselves.”

Congratulating the Mawlid of the entire Islamic World, Muhammed Yılmaz said: "First of all, I would recommend that everyone celebrate this night, which is the anniversary of the birth of our Prophet (SaaS). Because first comes our master, the Prophet for us. Unfortunately, some people see some people above our Prophet, but even his name is enough. We must follow the example of our Prophet. Because our Prophet is our leader. If we could really follow his example, our way of life and the way we look at people would change. But we don't look up to him. If only we could follow his example."

What is the Mawlid?

Mawlid or Mawlid al-Nabi al-Sharif, "Birth of the Prophet", is the observance of the birthday of Islamic prophet Muhammed commemorated in Rabi'l awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar. 12th Rabi' al-awwal is the accepted date among most of the scholars.

The history of this celebration goes back to the early days of Islam when some of the Tabi'un began to hold sessions in which poetry and songs composed to honor Muhammad were recited and sung to the crowds. The Ottomans declared it an official holiday in 1588, known as Mevlid Kandil.
