The "Real Map" of Palestine gets appreciation globally

The artist of the image, Adige Batur, initially posted it to Instagram entitled ‘The Real Map’, where it has now received more than 360,000 likes.

People around the world have criticized Google and Apple for the removal of Palestine from maps issued by these technology giants, accusing the two companies of siding with the zionist occupation regime.

At the same time, the Arab world’s leading artists have criticized this lack of presence on Google and Apple Maps, using Twitter to state their disappointment and stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

One of those artists was Adige Batur, who posted an image on Instagram entitled ‘The Real Map’, where it has now received more than 360,000 likes.

"I decided to make a confident and hopeful design rather than an aggressive one. Many images about Palestine is filled with upsets. I wanted it to change. The garden and flowers were common symbols for people. The Prophet Abraham was thrown into the fire, but the fire turned into a flower garden. The Prophet Abraham did not lose his faith and hope until the last moment. And he found himself in a flower garden. Flowers are a symbol of that faith and hope, " Adige Batur said.

The name Palestine has been used permanently for the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean since the 5th century, according to historians.
