Answering journalists' questions regarding the developments in Idlib Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavusoğlu, criticized the attack by the Assad regime, "The regime targets moderate opponents on the pretext of Al-Nusra." Çavusoğlu told reporters that the sides who would soon be coming together for the upcoming Sochi talks should not be engaged in such acts.
At the end of the month, the Syrian National Dialogue Congress will be held in Sochi, Russia.
İdlib and its surroundings, which located on the opposite side of Turkiye's Hatay, were announced as a de-escalation zone in the Astana deal on May 4-5. The regime and Russia are occasionally violating the ceasefire in the region.
