"The US did not stop its operations from Incirlik"

In a statement made by the US Department of Defense, it was stated that "the US has not stopped its operations from Incirlik".

The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) denied that they "stopped combat operations from Incirlik Base due to recent tensions between Ankara and Washington."

Johnny Michael, the spokesman for the Pentagon European Forces Command (EUCOM), said that the American Wall Street Journal news is "speculative".

The Wall Street Journal reported that the ties between Ankara and Washington had stopped the US combat operations in Incirlik Base and would permanently reduce military presence in the Incirlik Base in Adana, according to reports that the names are based on unexplained US officials.

Turkiye has been calling on the U.S. for a long time to cut support to the Syrian YPG-PKK. The unfulfilled promises of the U.S. to stop its support to YPG-PKK has deteriorated the relationships between Turkiye and the U.S.
