They move of historic minaret stone by stone

The stones of the minaret of the Al-Rizk Mosque in Hasankeyf are disassembled and being moved to its new site.

As part of the efforts to protect the artifacts that will be inundated by the Ilısu Dam in the Hasankeyf, district of Batman, the Al-Rizk Mosque minaret, which was built during the Eyyubits Period, continues to be moved to the new site.

The stones of the minaret, which were built 609 years ago during the period of Eyyubit Suleyman Khan, are transporting by removing one by one.

Informing the press about the work, the authorities said:" Al-Rızk mosque minaret moving process continues. The stones of the minaret are being dismantled one by one.

Authorities confirmed that the numbered stones are taken to the archeopark in the Hasankeyf Cultural Park, where they are to be combined in accordance with its origin.
