President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at Culture and Arts Special Awards Ceremony, held at the Presidential Complex by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
"To nations, culture and arts are at least as important as economy and defense industry. Economy and defense industry define your relations with the tangible powers in the world while culture and arts determine your position vis-à-vis the intangibles. Those two raise a country and a nation together," President Erdoğan underscored.
"We cannot neglect culture and arts while working day and night on the concrete elements of Turkiye’s goals for 2023," President Erdoğan said. "As the Turkish nation, we will never parrot. We will protect and uphold our own treasures. We will rediscover all the treasures we have forgotten."
"Aware of the fact that we must think, talk and act analytically as opposed to emulatively, we confidently have turned our face to the future," he added.
