US President Donald Trump has threatened to cut financial support to UN member states that to vote in favor a draft UN resolution for the US to withdraw its decision to recognize Jerusalem as israel's capital.
“They take hundreds of millions of dollars and even billions of dollars, and then they vote against us. Well, we are watching those votes. Let them vote against us. We will save a lot. We don’t care,” Trump told reporters at the White House according to the Reuters.
US UN Representative Threatened
US Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Nikki Haley has also threatened UN member states with an e-mail she sent to the other diplomats not to vote in favor of the US' decision in the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.
“I like the message that Nikki sent yesterday at the United Nations, for all those nations that take our money and then they vote against us at the Security Council, or they vote against us potentially at the assembly,” Trump added.
