Turkey: 102,636 road motor vehicle registrations were recorded in November

The number of road motor vehicle registrations in Turkey decreased by 10.3% compared with the previous month, the country’s statistical institute said in a statement on Wednesday.

Regarding the vehicle registrations in November, cars accounted for 64.8%, followed by small trucks 14.2%, motorcycles 12.0%, tractors 5.9%, trucks 2.0%, minibus 0.5%, buses 0.5% and special purpose vehicles 0.1%., the statement said.

In November, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 19.1% and 5.1% for buses and tractors while it decreased by 33.4%, 13.7%, 13.3%, 8.4%, 8.2% and 6.2% for motorcycles, special purpose vehicles, minibuses, small trucks, trucks and cars respectively.

The number of road motor vehicles registered increased by 52.9% compared with the same month of the previous year

In November, compared with the same month of the previous year, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 108.9%, 81.8%, 81.0%, 51.3%, 27.8%, 27.2% and 20.2% for trucks, tractors, small trucks, cars, motorcycles, buses and special purpose vehicles respectively while it decreased by 27.0% for minibuses.

At the end of November, the total number of road motor vehicles registered reached 24,064,532

At the end of November, cars represented 54.2%, small trucks 16.3%, motorcycles 14.6%, tractors 8.1%, trucks 3.6%, minibuses 2.0%, buses 0.9% and special purpose vehicles 0.3% of total number of road motor vehicles registered.

663,614 road motor vehicles handed over in November

Among vehicles handed over in November, cars accounted for 68.7% followed by small trucks 16.6%, motorcycles 5.5%, tractors 4.1%, trucks 2.3%, minibuses 2.2%, buses 0.5% and special purpose vehicles 0.1%.

In November, 66, 565 cars were registered to the traffic

In terms of the distribution of trademarks for the new registered cars in November Fiat recorded 17.4%, Renault 15.2%, Volkswagen 7.8%, Toyota 6.2%, Peugeot 6.1%, Ford 5.3%, Opel 5.2%, Hyundai 4.1%, Dacia 4.0%, Skoda 3.6%, Citroen 3.4%, Mercedes-Benz 2.9%, Honda 2.8%, BMW 2.7%, Nissan 2.3%, Audi 2.1%, Volvo 2.1%, Kia 2.1%, Seat 0.7%, Jeep 0.7%, Suzuki 0.7% and the other trademarks 2.6% of the total. 

In the period of January-November 953, 605 road motor vehicles were registered

In January-November period compared to the same period of previous year, the number of registered vehicles increased by 56.9% and became 953,605, while the number of withdrawn road motor vehicles decreased by 86.0% and became 42 thousand 494. Hence, in the period of January-November the increase in motor vehicles registered became 911,111.

In the period of January-November the ratio of cars registered using gasoline was 49.7%

Among 547,037 cars registered in the period of January-November. the share of gasoline-fueled cars was 49.7% followed by diesel-fueled cars with 41.4%, LPG-fueled cars with 5.4% and electric or hybrid cars with 3.5%. At the end of November among 13 million 44 thousand 176 registered cars the share of diesel-fueled cars was 38.3% followed by LPG-fueled cars with 36.8% and gasoline-fueled cars with 24.4%. The share of electric or hybrid cars was 0.3% and the cars with unknown fuel type was 0.3%.

Most frequent engine size was 1401-1500 for registered cars in the period of January-November

Within 547,037 cars registered to traffic in January-November period 30.0% had 1401-1500, 24.0% of them had engine size 1501-1600, 24.0% had 1300 or less, 15.0% had 1301-1400, 5.9% had 1601-2000, 0.8% had 2001 and above.

 In the period of January-November 258,278 of cars registered were white

Within 547,037 cars registered to traffic in January-November period 47.2% of them were white, 26.8% were grey, 7.4% were blue, 7.0% were red, 6.9% were black, 1.6% were orange, 1.3% were brown, 0.6% were yellow, 0.3% were green and 0.8% were in other colors.
